Phoenix office seeks an intellectual property legal secretary with 5 years of relevant experience. The candidate composes routine and complex reporting correspondence. Drafts responses to office actions, both trademark and patent. Assists attorney in maintaining docket reports. Identifies and researches issues with documentation that may be inaccurate. Performs patent and trademark Internet research. Maintains attorney calendar. Responds to phone calls and emails in a professional manner. Excellent writing skills are also important as this position requires the ability to compose complex and difficult correspondence. Candidates must be able to type 65 wpm. Proven advanced knowledge of Windows XP and Office 2003, including Word, Outlook and intermediate Excel knowledge is required. Must be familiar with the USPTO database and must be able to retrieve relevant information. (Note: Hours for the position are 7:45 to 4:00).
