Description



Receives direction from Radiology Director, Cardiologists, Radiologists, RN Manager, RN Team Lead, RT Team Lead. Works cooperatively with Imaging Nurses, Special Procedures Technologists, Physicians and Allied Health Staff. Interacts professionally with patients and treats them with dignity and respect. Assists physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath and Interventional Radiology procedures. Assists physicians with Pacemaker and ICD insertions. The Cardiovascular Technician will assist with hemodynamic monitoring. Assists with removal of arterial and venous sheaths. Creates a professional environment conducive to the delivery of quality patient care. Works closely with other departments to enhance patient care.



The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span. The ability to assess data reflective of the patients status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's age-specific needs is required.
