Job Information


• Leading healthcare services company located in Scottsdale, Arizona seeking Oracle Database Architect to ensure the integrity, high availability, security and performance of our corporate databases.


• Communication skills are an essential ingredient for working with both peers and application/product development teams at other US sites in the design and implementation of databases which support the SHPS business processes.


• Strategic database design, planning and execution with Product and Application Engineering teams to increase the robustness, performance and scalability of both existing and new enterprise class application systems


• Establish an architecture roadmap for operational and reporting systems


• Design and develop a blue print for a high performing program architecture leveraging the latest database technologies


• Participate in design and code reviews to ensure implementation of high quality software


• Process workflow for database and data model activities, such as migrating schema changes and enterprise-wide standards throughout the environment


• Keeping corporate data model diagrams and data dictionary information current


• Performance monitoring and tuning of development, test and production environments including identification and tuning of poor-performing application code and/or database configuration


• Evaluate features of existing technology and how to best utilize them


• Developing corporate data policies, such as security, backup/recovery


• Capacity planning and monitoring


Requirements


• Bachelors degree


• A minimum of 5 years Oracle DBA experience on large-scale enterprise applications


• Proven strong innovative and analytical ability with extensive implementation skills on large-scale enterprise applications


• Experience with Core Oracle - that used Oracle PL/SQL extensively, have a in-depth knowledge on the Oracle Internals & some Oracle DBA (Tablespace, Table sizing, Partitions, Transportable tablespace etc.,).


• T-SQL and/or PL/SQL programming and SQL tuning experience


• Demonstrated experience translating conceptual design into logical and physical data models


• Proven success in performance optimization and troubleshooting


• Work with a geographically dispersed team


• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work


• Unix (preferably Sun)


Preferred Skills:


• Unix Shell Scripting, Perl
